Love peonies but hate to see them die? Well, here's a crepe paper version that will never wilt! I'm showing you how I make my fluffy Closed Peonies from 180gsm Italian Crepe Paper. This is one of my favourite blooms to make because its so chubby and cute and sweet - they remind me of puffy clouds or cotton candy ahaha - I hope you'll like them too!
Who is this course for?
This course is great for beginners. You'll just need the right tools, materials, and a little bit of patience. With all of that, I'm confident you can make beautiful blooms too!
What is your teaching style?
I love teaching and I'm here to guide you through the basics. However, I see myself as a "chill" instructor, because I want you to feel like you're crafting with a friend! I'm not a stickler for rules, and I want to encourage you to be creative and experiment on your own. I'll give you suggestions on how to vary the design, so please
don't worry about following the instructions to a tee. Your flower may
not look exactly like mine in the end, but that's exactly the beauty of
paper blooms - you get to put your own stamp on your handmade creations!
*wink wink* *smiley face*
Do you provide templates and instructions?
Yes most definitely! All my Teachable paid courses comes with a template sheet in PDF form and a Instruction Sheet PDF that summarizes all the key steps from the videos. These can be downloaded and printed out for your reference.
Where do I get the materials?
I've added links and my local sources in the text within the course,
but I also have kits available that accompanies this video. To purchase a
kit, feel free to visit my
Etsy Page.
How do I care for my crepe paper blooms?
If possible, please keep your crepe paper flowers away from moisture, direct sunlight, or any harsh indoor lighting... it's paper after all! Nonetheless, fading is quite normal especially for the darker shades. You may consider purchasing a UV Protection spray too if you'd like to avoid any fading (though the faded shades do have a nice vintage feel to them too)
How do I show off my completed blooms?
I would love to see your creations! Do feel free to tag me @misspetalandbloom if you're on instagram.
It would be wonderful if no one copies, reproduces, redistributes, or
resells any part of MP&B’s videos/pattern/ templates/ instructions. I
sincerely hope that out of mutual respect to me as an artist and
instructor, that you would not take this content and teach it to others
for profit.
However, you are more than welcome to sell the completed bloom. If you don't mind, accreditation to Miss Petal & Bloom would be awesome (i.e. just a note somewhere to credit me and the video, as simple as that!). I would sincerely appreciate this so much, because your support and acknowledgement allows me to keep doing what I love to do. :)
